In “Desmonte”, the official flag is replaced by an installation made with the Brazilian banner, sand, bricks and a blue garbage bag. The art was inspired by the dismantling of the country during Michel Temer’s government, the most troubled since the military coup d’état in 1964. Instead of repeating the protest words and slogans that are usually a symbol of the tiredness endured by the citizens, “Desmonte” seeks to reactivate the heritage left by modern art.
